Turning Passion Into Purpose

RaceReady is a proposed nonprofit youth-development initiative designed to prepare students ages 13–18 for meaningful careers through motorsports, automotive technology, and hands-on learning.

Using automotive interests as an engaging starting point, RaceReady will introduce young people to a much broader world of possibilities—including engineering, fabrication, skilled trades, media production, marketing, product development, entrepreneurship, data analysis, and team leadership. Students will learn by working on real projects alongside industry mentors, developing practical knowledge, professional confidence, and skill-up in a manner that transfer across many career fields.

A Campus Built for Learning by Doing

RaceReady envisions transforming Kirkland’s historic Cannery into an approximately 18,600-square-foot youth innovation campus with two complementary learning environments:

  • The RaceReady Garage will provide technical instruction in vehicle maintenance, restoration, diagnostics, fabrication, motorsports technology, race preparation, shop safety, and professional team operations.

  • The Historic Cannery Building will support creative and collaborative programs in robotics, prototyping, digital fabrication, media production, audio engineering, broadcasting, entrepreneurship, and emerging technologies.

A high-speed fiber network will connect the garage, maker space, production studio, and event areas. This integrated campus will allow students in different disciplines to collaborate on shared projects—much like a professional motorsports team in which mechanics, engineers, designers, communicators, and business professionals work toward a common goal.

From Automotive Interest to Lifelong Opportunity

RaceReady’s pathway begins with the excitement of cars and motorsports, then expands students’ interests through interdisciplinary applied learning. A vehicle project, for example, could engage students in engineering and fabrication while also creating opportunities in filmmaking, podcasting, livestreaming, graphic design, marketing, sponsorship, and entrepreneurship.

Through its envisioned relationship with The Bradley Family Foundation’s C.A.S.E. Platform—Communications, Arts, Sciences, Entrepreneurship, and Skilled Trades—RaceReady will seek to connect students with mentors, educational organizations, businesses, and career networks. These relationships can help participants build portfolios, gain professional exposure, and continue developing opportunities before and after graduation.

RaceReady is more than a youth motorsports program. It is an investment in the next generation of innovators, creators, entrepreneurs, and skilled professionals—helping young people discover what becomes possible when passion meets purpose.
